Will's Story

Growing up, I marveled at the time and dedication my devout Catholic grandma put into making her handmade rosaries. The stunning glass beads, the care she put into hand twisting the links, the unique designs she came up with, the prayer and love she poured into each rosary--all of it amazed me and stuck with me. Then a few years ago as I was having a reversion to the faith (of sorts), I came across a well known rosary company that specialized in making sturdy paracord rosaries. I immediately fell in love with them, and bought one for myself (and more to give away.) There began my appreciation for the sturdy, paracord rosaries. I spent a few years learning how to make these paracord rosaries and experimenting with the design elements. Along the way my passion for woodworking also grew. I spent many days in my makeshift shop (at the house I was renting a room at) crafting wooden state cutouts, cutting boards, and wooden crucifixes. I had always harbored a great love for wood. My dad is a carpenter by trade and has an incredible gift when it came to working with wood. I began to combine my love for working with wood and for crafting rosaries by hand staining wood beads and starting my wooden rosary collection. My appreciation for the sturdy paracord and wood rosaries combined with the memory of my grandmas delicate and beautifully designed ones inspired me to turn a family heirloom craft into the rosaries that you see here on our store; a touch of sturdiness and beauty make up our carefully hand-stained wooden bead rosaries.

Cameron's Story

My rosary making adventures began in college while I was working at the local Mission San Luis Obispo gift shop. Some days, traffic into the shop was slow, and so I was encouraged by my manager to make rosaries for the store with beads, links, medals, and crucifixes. I started loving those slow days, so that I could sit up at the register twisting links and adding beads to make these delicate rosaries. There was something so peaceful and prayerful about making these rosaries while sitting in a historic California mission. A couple of years later (after meeting Will) I decided to take up the craft again (after some time away) and make him a rosary made entirely from Job’s tears seed beads. I loved picking this craft back up. William started trying out all kinds of rosaries and quickly became a pro at this craft. I was right there with him, giving my thoughts about a certain design or color scheme, as well as helping to craft the rosaries.

Its been a labor of love for both of us and we look forward to crafting rosaries that give glory to God for years to come.
